10 Superlative Covers

(note: all mp3s removed to make room for the latest audioblog)

I sometimes daydream about being the lead singer of an improvisational band. After the set break, I'd come out with a bugle and play reveille [Play], but in place the last note, the band would launch into the first note of a cover tune. Sometimes, when I'm walking down the street or taking BART, I'll play reveille in my head and try to figure out the most recognizable first notes of songs (like this [Play], this [Play], or this [Play]). Following is not a list of those songs, it's simply a list of cover tunes that put a smile on my face. I hope you'll like them too.

My Ten Favorite Cover Tunes (in no particular order)
